Frances L. Kight, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born May 30, 1941, in Randles to Paul E. and Pauline Bonds Tweedy. She and William Ross Kight were married Saturday, July 31, 1965, at her parents' home in Randles. Frances L. Kight, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

She was born May 30, 1941, in Randles to Paul E. and Pauline Bonds Tweedy.

She and William Ross Kight were married Saturday, July 31, 1965, at her parents' home in Randles. He passed away July 23, 1993.

Frances was a receptionist at J.C. Penney Styling Salon for 10 years and was a court reporter for Social Security Disability for 15 years.

She was a member of First General Baptist Church in Jackson.

Survivors include a daughter, Paula Sedgwick of Cape Girardeau; four sons, Jeffrey R. (Lisa) Kight, Kendall W. Kight, Benjamin P. Kight and Jonathan J. Kight, all of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren, Austin Kight, Elizabeth Kight, Marissa Kight, Sierra Sedgwick, Cheyenne Hunter, Ethan Kight, Maya Kight and Eli Kight, and one great-grandchild, Christopher Kight.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two grandchildren, David Kight and Jonathan Kight, and two sisters, Doris Young and JoAnn Eaton.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mike Huffman officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of choice.
