Barbara A. Bridges, 69, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born Sept. 12, 1948, in Harrisburg, Arkansas, to Jasper and Margie Lawson Bridges.
She received a B.S. degree from the University of Missouri in elementary education.
She worked as a caseworker for the division of family services in St. Louis for over 28 years.

Survivors include three brothers, Dr. Gary J. Bridges of Cape Girardeau, Ronnie (Lette) Bridges of Williamsville, Missouri, and Paul (Debbie) Bridges of Cape Fair, Missouri; seven nieces and nephews; and 16 great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Graham officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Harrisburg.
