Patsy P. Ellis, age 74, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born Dec. 20, 1942, to Robert and Bessie Uthoff Fields. She and Kenneth Ellis were married Aug. 31, 1957. He survives. Patsy attended LaCroix UMC in Cape Girardeau. She was a real-estate title examiner for 28 years and was a realtor in the Cape area, retiring in 2002 to care for her husband...

Patsy P. Ellis, age 74, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 20, 1942, to Robert and Bessie Uthoff Fields. She and Kenneth Ellis were married Aug. 31, 1957. He survives.

Patsy attended LaCroix UMC in Cape Girardeau. She was a real-estate title examiner for 28 years and was a realtor in the Cape area, retiring in 2002 to care for her husband.

Loving survivors include her husband of 60 years; a son, Darren (Rhonda) Ellis; a daughter, Gwen (Elsworth) Schieffer of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren, Stephanie Danger, Rachel Penny, Dennis and Jason Schieffer, Gavin, Alexandra and Andrew Ellis, Trevor and Christin Heisserer; and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Anthony Dale "Tony," a sister and a brother.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Rev. Ron Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Fruitland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or Ronald McDonald House Charities.
