HIGH RIDGE, Mo. -- Vivian E. Huffman O'Connor of High Ridge was born July 15, 1926, and entered into rest Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 13 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto W. and Lillie Bollinger Huffman; her husband of 64 years, James L. HIGH RIDGE, Mo. -- Vivian E. Huffman O'Connor of High Ridge was born July 15, 1926, and entered into rest Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 13 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto W. and Lillie Bollinger Huffman; her husband of 64 years, James L. O'Connor; and her siblings, Loeta (Huffman) Eaker, Bonnie Huffman and Bobby Thiele.

Dear mother of Maggie (Ronald) Wimmer of Glen Carbon, Illinois, Kathleen Bywater of High Ridge, James (Yvonne) O'Connor Jr. of Wildwood, Missouri, William (Karen) O'Connor of St. Charles, Missouri, and Bonnie (Scot) Vaughn of Maryland Heights, Missouri; beloved grandmother of Michelle (Greg) Guthrie, James O'Connor III, Patrick (Lynn) O'Connor, Brian (Andella) O'Connor, Laura (Matt) Latall, Megan Vaughn and Morgan Vaughn; and great-grandmother of eight.

Vivian was a longtime active member of Fellowship First Baptist Church in High Ridge, where she taught both Sunday school and vacation Bible school for many years. She was active in her community as a volunteer leader in 4-H, Brownies, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts.

In addition to raising her children, she and her husband owned Huntington Builders and Antire Real Estate Co., where she was an agent. She also worked for several years for both Helen Wolff Shops and The Image. In her spare time, Vivian was an awesome cook, who enjoyed quilting, gardening and ballroom dancing.

Visitation was held Friday evening at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30 in Cedar Hill, Missouri.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Internment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens and Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, gifts of remembrance may be made to Fellowship First Baptist Church, 2735 High Ridge Blvd., High Ridge, MO 63049.
