Charles Thomas Haman, 80, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at Southeast Hospital.

He was born March 24, 1937, in Cape Girardeau to Chester A. and Lucille E. Able Haman. Charles and Regenia H. Lueder were married Oct. 10, 1959, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills.

He was a veteran of the Naval Reserve Seabees and retired as a chief petty officer after 22 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion.

Charles was the chief electrician for Spartech Plastics, formerly Atlas Plastics; he worked in the Cape Girardeau plant for 35 years, retiring in 1999.

He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills.

Survivors include his wife, Regenia H. Haman of Cape Girardeau; five daughters, Sherry (David) Powers of Egypt Mills and Marla (Mark) Welker, Patricia (Danny) Campbell, Susan (Bill) Tuttle and Shelly (Matt) Ulrich, all of Cape Girardeau; a brother, James (Eleanor) Haman of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren, Ashley (Brad) Martin, Erin (Adam) Hensley, Cole (Crystal) Welker, Janell Campbell, Abigail Campbell, Matthew Ulrich, Christopher Ulrich and Mikel Ulrich; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and a grandson, Thomas D Powers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Barry L. Pfanstiel officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Egypt Mills, with full military honors.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Lung Association.
