THAYER, Mo. -- Harry Colbert, 83, passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at Shady Oaks Healthcare Center in Thayer.
He was born Jan. 8, 1934, in McCrory, Arkansas, to Harry Koester and Nellie Creasy Tanner.
Harry grew up in Black Oak, Arkansas, under the care of his adoptive parents, G.W. and Delia Colbert.
Harry was preceded in death by his biological parents and adoptive parents; an infant brother; an adoptive sister; a great-granddaughter; and two sons-in-law.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Colbert of Thayer; a sister; a son; three daughters; three stepsons; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Family members will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the same location, with Glenn Hurst officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.
