BARDWELL, Ky. -- James Norman Buster, 86 years old, of Bardwell passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at Countryside Nursing Home in Bardwell.
He was born July 26, 1931.
He was a veteran of the Korean War and a retired crane operator for Shell Oil.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Vera G. Buster; a daughter, Debbie (Mark) Spurgeon of Bethalto, Illinois; a son, Warren (Vicky) Buster of Raleigh, North Carolina; two stepchildren, Harold (June) Sanson of Reidland, Kentucky, and Latreese (Billy) Arnold of Bardwell; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Effie Buster, and five brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Jones Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois, with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Officiating will be Brother Curt Alderson. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Dongola, Illinois, with full military honors given by the Illinois National Guard Burial Team and area veterans.
