Janet Kay Palmer, 71, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital in Wisconsin. She was born Oct. 20, 1946, in Mounds, Illinois, the daughter of the late John H. and Bobbie Fields Goins. Janet�s greatest passion in life was her family, to whom she was devoted. Janet Kay Palmer, 71, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital in Wisconsin.

She was born Oct. 20, 1946, in Mounds, Illinois, the daughter of the late John H. and Bobbie Fields Goins.

Janet�s greatest passion in life was her family, to whom she was devoted. She also enjoyed her Fenton art glass collection, quilting and watching movies with her faithful dog, Sadie.

She is survived by her cherished children Tamara (Weston) Brown of Wisconsin, Thomas �TJ� (Sharon) Palmer of Wisconsin, Tisha Palmer of New Jersey, Tad Palmer of Wisconsin and Tyler Palmer of Wisconsin; her beautiful grandchildren, Brittany Ives, Trevor Palmer, Kaylynne Palmer and Brooklynn Palmer; treasured sister Judy (Bill) Biggerstaff of Kentucky; and dearest brother Sam (Holly) Goins of Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son Timothy Palmer.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Mounds, followed by a memorial service at 5:30 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Doug Atkins officiating, and then a dinner.

Burial of cremains will be a private ceremony Saturday at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, Illinois.
