Marian Lavern Furr, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 1, 1931, in St. Louis to Fred L. and Wilma Huber Steger.
She graduated from College High School in Cape Girardeau.
She and James H. Furr were married Oct. 21, 1950, at Egypt Mills. He passed away Sept. 19, 1982.
Marian worked for Saint Francis Medical Center, retiring in 1987.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills.
Survivors include a son, James A. (Tracy Griffaw) Furr of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Jo Ann Furr of Jackson; a brother, Leroy (Gloria) Steger of Cape Girardeau; two grandsons; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and a sister.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church at Egypt Mills.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Barry L. Pfanstiel officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills Building Fund or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
