SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Kenneth Dean Cowell, 77, of Sedgewickville passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born May 3, 1940, at Vanduser, Missouri, son of Troy and Maudie Patterson Cowell. He and Deanna Ogan were united in marriage Nov. 8, 1961, and she passed away Sept. 6, 2012...

SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Kenneth Dean Cowell, 77, of Sedgewickville passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 3, 1940, at Vanduser, Missouri, son of Troy and Maudie Patterson Cowell. He and Deanna Ogan were united in marriage Nov. 8, 1961, and she passed away Sept. 6, 2012.

Survivors include his sons, Troy Cowell of Sedgewickville and David (Angie) Cowell of Jackson; two sisters, Stella Wisdom of Belleville, Missouri, and Verna Jeanne Gilliland of Jefferson City, Missouri; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife.

A public remembrance will be held at noon June 2 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, during the Fort de Chartres Rendezvous.
