BELL CITY, Mo. -- Trisha Lynn Slagley, 23, of Bell City passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 1, 1994, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Jeffrey Slagley and Edith Shipley.

Trisha was a 2012 graduate of Bell City High School. She loved to play volleyball. She was on the 2008 Bell City High School Volleyball Final Four Team. She worked as a waitress and bartender at Ruby Tuesday's at Cape Girardeau. She loved to cook. She enjoyed watching Reynold's Racing Team and was part of the pit crew. She enjoyed spending time with her nephews and nieces. She was spunky, sassy and always smiling.

Survivors include her father, Jeffrey (Cindy) Slagley of Cape Girardeau; her mother, Edith (Ellis Simmers) Slagley of Perkins, Missouri; paternal grandparents, Gary and Grace Wood of Bloomfield, Missouri, and Paul Slagley of Bloomfield; maternal grandparents, James Shipley Sr. of Zalma, Missouri; four sisters, Megan (Lucas) Collier of Jackson, Jenny (Briana Keene) Lathum of Jackson, Alicia (Nick) Kohen of Fort Scott, Kansas, and Tara Umfleet of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Dustin (April) Umfleet of Millersville and Hunter (Kaitlyn) Umfleet of Jackson; nieces and nephews, Domanic Clover, Noah Collier, Jayden Umfleet, Tristan Priest, Aniyah Umfleet, Gavin Stroder, Lilly Umfleet and Sophia Umfleet; uncles, Rick (Kathleen) Slagley of Bloomfield, James Shipley Jr. of Painton, Missouri, and Mike (Missy) Sparkman of Cape Girardeau; aunts, Jeanann (Bill) Nattier of Perkins and Bonnie Jane Woods of Zalma; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Bonnie Jean Senciboy; aunt, Rachel Lea Shipley; and second mother, Lisa Lathum.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Missouri.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Michael Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Perkins Cemetery in Perkins.
