Rock has one level: LOUD

Classic rockers Styx, REO Speedwagon and Don Felders will take the Show Me Center stage at 7 p.m. delivering hits made famous through the years, and even some new ones. Rhyme time

Stop by Cup 'n' Cork in downtown Cape Girardeau. John Dorsey and Jason Ryberg will perform their own original works of poetry today at 5 p.m., followed by a poetry slam. Both events are free and open to the public, however some material may not be suitable for the little ones in the family.

Fourth Friday Art Walk

Downtown Ste. Genevieve is hosting its Fourth Friday Art Walk this weekend, with each participating shop and gallery extending its hours. Take your family and stroll through downtown to view the artwork and creativity on display in the local galleries, shops and restaurants. Fighting MS One Beer at a Time

Homebrew Supply of Southeast Missouri, located in Fruitland is hosting this year's Brew Movement Against Multiple Sclerosis Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. It's an annual fundraiser benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. You'll find home-brew, craft beer, a variety of food, live music and a silent auction.

More than $90,000 has been raised for the cause, according to its Facebook page. This year marks the first event held in Southeast Missouri benefiting the Gateway Chapter of the MS Society.

Tickets are $35 in advance; $40 at the gate.

I love the 80s

Saturday 8 p.m. to midnight at Cape Girardeau Eagles #3775, if you're 21 or older, it's your chance to dance like it's 1980 with That 80's Band: The Ultimate 80's Experience. Doors open at 7 p.m., and admission is $10.

There's no party like a block party

Stevie's Steakburger is turning three years old and to celebrate it's hosting a block party Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. Activities include the "Screaming Stevie's Challenge," with whomever can consume multiple hot wings fast enough, without anything to drink, winning a prize. Other prizes include a gift card raffle with the winner to be announced at 5 p.m. Enjoy food specials, a bag toss tournament, live music, games, face painting and free ice cream for children.
