Paul J. Allee, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Southeast Hospital.

He was born Nov. 16, 1933, in Stoutland, Missouri, to Noel Jennings and Helen Hutchings Allee. He and Joretta Howser Allee were married Aug. 24, 1958, at Iberia, Missouri.

Paul served his country in the Marine Corps.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson.

He was a proud teacher of Missouri history, civics and government. He then became district supervisor of disability determinations for Social Security in Cape Girardeau.

Paul was an active committeeman for the Democratic Party in Cape Girardeau County. He was also an avid antique collector and dealer. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attending their activities.

Survivors include his wife, Joretta Howser Allee of Cape Girardeau; a son, Clifton (Sue) Allee of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Dale Allee of Springfield, Missouri; a sister, Helen (Bob) Breedlove of Lebanon, Missouri; three grandchildren, Tara (Ben Bertrand) Allee of Cape Girardeau, Trevor (Shelby) Allee of Jackson and Tessa Allee of Cape Girardeau; and four great-grandchildren, Cal Bertrand, Carter Allee, Eloise Allee and Milo Allee. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wayne Allee.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

A private funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Davis officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Wayne Allee Scholarship Fund, c/o Missouri State University in Springfield.
