The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of driving while intoxicated, causing serious injury, driving while revoked and a drug offense at 1441 Emerald St.

Arrests

  • Thomas C. Kinney, 34, 418 S. Benton St., was arrested at 1701 Lacey St. on two Cape Girardeau warrants for failure to appear for improper registration and possession of drug paraphernalia and on a Scott County warrant.
  • Robert L. Arnold Sr., 56, 2775 Hawthorne Road, was arrested at North Henderson Avenue and Themis Street on a Union County, Illinois, warrant.
  • Karen Harvey, 55, 1558 Independence St., was arrested at 1558 Independence St. on suspicion of failure to maintain property free of litter.
  • Voung Hguyen, 32, 2635 Liberty St., was arrested at 2635 Liberty St. on suspicion of an animal leash-law violation.
  • Mary L. Myers, 59, of McClure, Illinois, was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Walmart, 3439 William St.
  • Noah L. Rhodes, 17, of Glenallen, Missouri, was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at O'Reilly's Auto Parts, 370 N. Kingshighway.
  • Tammy M. Peterson, 48, of Sikeston, Missouri, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for shoplifting.
  • Johnny L. Warren, 36, 503 S. Sprigg St., was arrested at 420 S. Pacific St. on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for shoplifting.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of domestic assault and possession of a controlled substance in the 00 block of North Henderson Avenue.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of possession of a controlled substance at North Lorimier Street and Broadway.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of a drug violation at 1712 Woodlawn Ave.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of a weapons violation at East Cape Rock Drive and Big Bend Road.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of resisting arrest and a drug offense at 1606 Independence St.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of assault on a law-enforcement officer and resisting arrest at 817 Illinois Ave.
  • Richard David Upchurch, 53, of Benton, Missouri, was arrested at 211 St. Francis Drive on a Cape Girardeau warrant for traffic offenses.
  • Brandy Michelle Townsend, 24, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, was arrested at Bellevue and Frederick streets on a Wayne County, Missouri, warrant.

Charges

  • Charges are pending for negligent burning or exploding at 3351 Percy Drive.
  • Charges are pending for fourth-degree domestic assault in the 800 block of Good Hope Street.

  • Glory Jean Gilbert, 28, of Cape Girardeau was issued summonses for an animal leash-law violation at 125 S. Ellis St. and littering at 122 S. Ellis St.

  • A false bomb report was made at Walmart, 3439 William St.
  • A weapons violation was reported at William and South Hanover streets.

  • An animal bite was reported at 410 Kiwanis Drive.
  • Affray was reported at 15 Village Drive.
