CAPE GIRARDEAU The Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to the following calls: Thursday n Medical assists were made at 12:39 a.m. on Locust Street, 5:22 a.m. on South Ranney Avenue, 9:28 a.m. on Pioneer Drive, 10:58 a.m. on South Silver Springs Road, 12:29 p.m. on South Mount Auburn Road, 3:46 p.m. on Broadway, 4:58 p.m. on Westfield Drive, 7:23 p.m. on South West End Boulevard, 7:41 p.m. on Penny Avenue and 9:55 p.m. on Perry Avenue...CAPE GIRARDEAU

- At 12:33 a.m., brush or grass fire was reported on Bloomfield Road.
- At 9:46 p.m., arcing/shorted electrical equipment was reported on Northview Drive.
