VILLA RIDGE, Ill. � Raymond DeWayne �Wayne� Henderson Sr., 67, of Villa Ridge died at 4 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2018, at his home.

He was born Nov. 15, 1950, in Cairo, Illinois, the son of Melvin and Nellie Bailey Henderson. He married Vicki Henderson in 1971.

Wayne was a member of Christian Community Ministry-CCM.

He was survived by his wife, Vicki Henderson of Villa Ridge; sons, Raymond DeWayne Henderson Jr. of San Antonio, Travis Henderson of Salem, Illinois, Marvin Henderson of Anna, Illinois, Joseph Henderson of Ullin, Illinois, and Randall Henderson of Jonesboro, Illinois; daughters, Rebecca Earnhart of Pulaski, Illinois, Tori Henderson of Villa Ridge and Joy Steele of Pulaski; 18 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; sister, Sharon Ivy of Villa Ridge; brothers, Paul Henderson of America, Illinois, Benny Henderson of Mounds, Illinois, and Kenny Henderson of Mounds; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lily Modglin and Barbara Coleson; and brothers, Vernon Henderson, Melvin Henderson and Junior Henderson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, with the Rev. Terry Kern officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes, Illinois.
