Born on March 27, 1931, near Bell City, Missouri, she was the daughter of Marion Ace and Idabell Pixley Green. She married Harold "Jack" Tilley in 1945. He preceded her in death April 5, 1996. MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- May Lou Tilley Jones, 87, of Marble Hill died Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Woodland Hills.

Born on March 27, 1931, near Bell City, Missouri, she was the daughter of Marion Ace and Idabell Pixley Green. She married Harold "Jack" Tilley in 1945. He preceded her in death April 5, 1996. She later married Robert Jones in 1998. He preceded in death in October 2002.

May worked as a self-employed seamstress in the Bell City area. She also was a baker and cake decorator. She attended Heritage Apostolic Church in Glenallen, Missouri.

She is survived by three sons, Harold C. (Carla) Tilley of Cape Girardeau, Alonzo E. (Dona) Tilley of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Anthony M. (Nadine) Tilley of Scott City; two daughters, Deanna S. (Don) Wamble of Laurel, Mississippi, and Tarita (Richard) Dowd of Glenallen; a sister Carol Bates of Bell City; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two husbands, six brothers, a sister and one grandchild.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today at Heritage Apostolic Church in Glenallen.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. The Rev. Ivan Dowd will officiate. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bell City.

Hutchings Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
