CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Tommy Joe "T.J." Sousley, 53, of Chaffee, formerly of Jackson, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at his home.

He was born May 16, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Charles Oliver and Irma Edmonds Sousley.

T.J. was a machinist by trade, working in Kansas City, Texas and at Erlbacher Gear and Machine Works in Cape Girardeau. His health declined and he was forced to take disability due to his back and shoulder issues.

He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed riding with the Galloping Goose Motorcycle Club.

Loving survivors include his mother, Irma Turley of Chaffee; a brother, Mark (Lisa) Sousley of Sedalia, Missouri; a special friend, Linda Beard of Chaffee; a stepson, William (Debra) Beard of Climax Springs, Missouri; and two grandchildren, Cody Lane Beard and Allison Nicole Beard.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jesse Taylor Sousley in 2004; two brothers, Mike Sousley in 2001 and Charles Steven Sousley in 2016; and his father, Charles O. Sousley.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to service time Thursday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Billy Garner officiating.
