Ashley Marie Schmittzehe and Donald George Perry III were married March 17 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Rick Jones performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Lindsey Grojean of New Hamburg, Missouri, and Lenny Kuper of Cape Girardeau.

The bride is the daughter of Steve and Debbie Schmittzehe of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Don and Saundra Perry of Jackson.

Megan Schmittzehe of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Kiblinger of Cape Girardeau; Taylor Koenig of Jackson; Amanda Lappe of Oak Ridge; and Lisa Henderson of Delta.

Candlelighters were Lydia Melton and Abbey Melton of St. Louis, cousins of the bride.

Tyson Stoverink of Jackson, friend of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Daniel Sayles of Meriden, Kansas; Austin Koenig of Jackson; Ryan Gibson of Jackson; and Andrew Koenig of Jackson.

The wedding reception followed the ceremony at Drury Plaza Hotel Cape Girardeau Conference Center.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner March 16 at Wings Etc. in Jackson.

Ashley is a 2011 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in health science in 2015 and Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017 from Maryville University of St. Louis. She is employed at ATI Physical Therapy.

Don is a 2011 graduate of Jackson High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in management in 2015 from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He is currently serving in the United States Army.

The couple lives in Fairbanks, Alaska.
