The Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to the following calls:

Thursday

• Medical assists were made at 1:30 on North Church Street, 2:39 p.m. on Independence Street and 10:30 p.m. on South Pacific Street.
• At 9:13 a.m., smoke detector activation, no fire, was reported on Independence Street.
• At 10:50 a.m., smoke investigation was performed on Morgan Oak Street.
• At 1:43 p.m., smoke detector activation, no fire, was reported on William Street.

SCOTT CITY

The Scott City Fire Department responded to the following calls:

July 6 to 11

• Medical assists were made July 6 in the 28000 block of U.S. 61; July 8 in the 200 block of Grand Avenue; and July 11 in the 400 block of North Lincoln.
• On July 11, grass fire was reported at county roads 204 and 201.
