STURDIVANT, Mo. -- Harold Glen Lemons, 65, of Sturdivant passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018, at his home. STURDIVANT, Mo. -- Harold Glen Lemons, 65, of Sturdivant passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018, at his home.

He was born Sept. 27, 1952, in Gipsy, Missouri, the son of William H. and Ethel Marie Porter Lemons. Harold and Barbara Hughes were united in marriage Aug. 30, 1974, at Metropolis, Illinois, and she survives of the home.

Harold was the farm manager for Truman Lemon Farms for over 40 years. He attended Berrong Baptist Church near Zalma, Missouri, for many years. He was a long-time member of the Zalma Masonic Lodge.

Harold was a master of grilling. He often grilled for large groups of people. He was a loving and caring person who would do wonderful things for anyone in his own quiet manner. He had a huge heart and loved his family more than anything.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lemons; a son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Rosie Lemons of Zalma; four brothers, Truman Lemons of Cape Girardeau, Ivan Lemons of Zalma, Tom Lemons of Marble Hill, Missouri, and Terry Lemons of Scott City; six sisters, Dottie Carver of Zalma, Shirley Chestnut of Burfordville, Ruth Hefner of McGee, Missouri, Linda Siler of Puxico, Missouri, Peggy Stepp of Arab, Missouri, and Barbara Masters of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and two grandchildren, Logan and Ethan Lemons of Zalma.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Lucas Lemons; and two brothers, Charles and Dean Lemons.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Missouri.

Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Revs. Eric Lemons and Leeman Shirrell officiating. Burial will follow at Berrong Cemetery near Zalma.
