Lucy Earlene Duley Brown passed from this life Thursday, July 12, 2018.
She was born July 23, 1934, to Leonard and Ruth Duley.
She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
She was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed painting, traveling out West to see wildlife, as well as spending time in her garden.
Her family and friends will miss her dearly. She was a special woman, who was loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by two sons, Roger (Beverly) Brown and Jerry Brown; daughter, Jan (Tony) Bettis; brother, Jerry (Cecilia) Duley; sister, Shirley (Charles) Ratcliff; granddaughters, Heather Bettis and Nicole Savage; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvis Dale Brown; sister, Sybil Dunlap; and granddaughter, Christie Bettis Duke.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with the Rev. Shawn Wasson officiating.
