Harmony lane to close for three weeks

Harmony Lane in Jackson will be closed temporarily as part of a water distribution line replacement project, according to a news release from the city.

City engineer Clint Brown said work will take approximately three weeks, weather and work permitting.

Perryville Road lane, Silver Springs Road to close for repairs

The northbound lane of Perryville Road between Starwood and Sherwood drives in Cape Girardeau will be closed for concrete repairs, beginning Wednesday, according to a news release from the city.

Southbound Silver Springs Road at the Bloomfield Road intersection will also be closed for concrete repairs, beginning Wednesday.

Both closures will begin at 8 a.m. and should last two days, depending on weather and work, the release stated.

City officials urge citizens to use caution around work areas. Motorists should look for all posted caution signs, detour markers and other informational items made available to the public.
