ADVANCE, Mo. -- Donald "Doc" R. Lee, 71, of Advance passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. ADVANCE, Mo. -- Donald "Doc" R. Lee, 71, of Advance passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 22, 1946, at Advance, the son of Ted and Pauline Sears Lee. Donald and Glenda Hoosier were united in marriage Oct. 15, 2009, at Farmington, Missouri, and she survives of the home.

Donald retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 44 years as an engineer. He was a member of Perkins (Missouri) Baptist Church and was a faithful follower of Mount Zion Walker General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, Missouri.

His favorite things were gardening, horse racing and fishing. He had many friends and was a member of the McDonald's morning club in Advance. He also enjoyed spending time at the farm.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Lee; a son, the Rev. Michael (Sabine) Lee of Advance; a daughter, Donna (Chad) Pruitt of Advance; two stepdaughters, Karen (Paul) Jarvis and Teresa Bohn, both of Farmington; a stepson, Brad Mashek of Farmington; three brothers, Jim Lee of Tilden, Texas, Danny Lee of Advance and Johnny Lee of Springfield, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Mandi Lee, Alison Fuqua, Molly Freed, Brayden Bohn, Riley Bohn, Kaylee Mashek, Jacob Jarvis and Jayce Jarvis; and two great-grandchildren, Zoey Lee and Gavin Fuqua.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Michael Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
