Deborah Monahan

BERTRAND, Mo. -- Deborah Ruth Monahan, 61, of Bertrand, formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, at Bertrand Nursing and Rehab Center, where she had been a longtime resident.

Debbie was born Oct. 21, 1956, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Lee and Ruth Cook Monahan.

She is survived by her mother, Ruth Monahan, who is 102 and also a resident of Bertrand Nursing and Rehab Center; a brother, Jimmie Lee (Marvalee) Monahan of Thebes, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Sandy Monahan and Joyce Monahan; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Lee Monahan; brothers, Otis and Joel Monahan; and a sister, Ernestine Webber.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Monahan officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes.
