Maryann O'Mara

Maryann Ida Cattell-O'Mara, 75, of Cape Girardeau passed into the glory of Heaven on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born to the late Chester and Olive Cattell of New Jersey. She is also predeceased by a daughter, Karen Horton; a sister, Olive Rowland, and brothers John "Jack" Cattell and Jimmy Cattell.

She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Her fun-loving and witty personality invited light-hearted warmth and beauty to every space she occupied. She enjoyed the arts of dance, music and singing.

Maryann is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Litke of Cape Girardeau; two sons, James Horton and Christopher Horton; as well as five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Cattell; and a number of other loving relatives and close friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at Victory Outreach Church at 2 p.m. Dec. 1.

Flower and memorial donations may be sent to the church at 1000 Big Bend Road in Cape Girardeau.

Crain Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
