Jacquelyn Close

Jacquelyn Ann Close, 65, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at her home in Jackson.

She was born Dec. 12, 1953, in Lebanon, Tennessee, the daughter of the late John and Teresa Ann Johnson Hill. She and Dr. Edward Close were married July 3, 1978, in Los Angeles.

Jacquelyn grew up in Lebanon. She met Edward while working as an administrative accountant with an environmental firm in Tampa, Florida. They married and traveled the country and the world with Edward's job as an environmental engineer.

In the late 1990s, Jacquelyn became involved with essential oils. She led instructional seminars on the amazing health advantages essential oils can give. She and Edward co-wrote a book espousing the usage of essential oils for the control and eradication of mold.

Loving survivors include her husband of 40 years, Edward Close; a son, Joshua Close of O'Fallon, Missouri; a brother, Doss Hill of Smyrna, Tennessee; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Anthony Stewart officiating.
