OSKALOOSA, Iowa -- Elaine Jennings-Jones, 90, of Oskaloosa, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, March 5, 2019, in Iowa. She was born Feb. 13, 1929, in Trier, Germany, to Paul and Else Gundermann. She married Joseph Jennings on July 6, 1959. After his retirement from the U.S. Army, they resided in Advance, Missouri. He preceded her in death in November 1987. She married Jimmie Jones, who preceded her in death in April 1993...

OSKALOOSA, Iowa -- Elaine Jennings-Jones, 90, of Oskaloosa, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, March 5, 2019, in Iowa.

She was born Feb. 13, 1929, in Trier, Germany, to Paul and Else Gundermann. She married Joseph Jennings on July 6, 1959. After his retirement from the U.S. Army, they resided in Advance, Missouri. He preceded her in death in November 1987. She married Jimmie Jones, who preceded her in death in April 1993.

Elaine was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She loved crocheting and crafting, as well as spending time with family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Elaine is survived by son, Glen E. Jennings of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter, Yvonne Gabby Jennings (Rob) Evans of Fremont, Iowa; grandchildren, Joey and Shana Jennings of Pensacola, Florida; niece, Judy Ritchie of Colorado Springs; and other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister; husbands; and daughter, JoAnn Jennings, who passed away June 12, 2010.

Graveside inurnment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Crain Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
