MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- David Roy Rose, 69, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019, at home in Marble Hill.

He was born Nov. 21, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, son of the late Payne and Madge Parker Rose. David and Brenda Pender were united in marriage Aug. 27, 1983.

David was considered a "jack of all trades" throughout life and a hard worker. He enjoyed working on cars, hunting, fishing and was very loyal to his friends and especially his family.

David served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a loving and gentle person and would do anything for anyone. Although David had many traits in his life, he loved his family and will be missed by all.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Brenda Rose; two sons, Chris (Lana) Rose of Atoka, Tennessee, and Bobby (Crystal) Sides of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Beth Henson of Delta, Becky (Thomas) Poteete of Cape Girardeau and Candy Rose of Chaffee, Missouri; two brothers, Phil (Marylin) Rose and John Rose of Glen Allen, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Brandy Combs, Dr. Kelcey Rose, Kyley Rose, Myra Hughes, Jenna Henson, Landon Sides, Reese Sides, Cameron Brown and Zachary Brown; and four great-grandchildren, Logan Combs, Michelle Combs, Aubre Combs and Nickalos Hughes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steve Rose.

Inurnment will take place at noon Friday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield,.
