Lequeeta L. Bolin, 69, passed away from this life into heaven Friday, June 14, 2019.

Lequeeta was born Nov. 7, 1949, in St. Louis to the Rev. Lloyd and Louise Welch.

When Lequeeta was 2 years old, her family moved to Eminence, Missouri. Her father pastored a church there for 30 years. She graduated from Eminence High School in 1967.

On May 17, 1975, Lequeeta married James Bolin of Eminence. They were blessed with one son, Christopher.

Lequeeta worked many years as a day care director. For the past 20 years, she was a pastor's wife and played a vital role in James' ministry. Being raised as a preacher's daughter and having a brother as a preacher, this role came naturally to Lequeeta.

Lequeeta loved to sing and worship the Lord. She loved to lead choirs at churches and put together many singing programs.

The greatest love of her life was her husband, James, for over 44 years. Lequeeta and James were inseparable. She went above and beyond to make sure she supported him in everything he did. She loved him unconditionally and loved listening to him preach.

Lequeeta loved spending time with her family. She would always cook a big meal for her family to eat after church every Sunday.

Chris was her world and some of her favorite things were to dress him up in suits as a young child, watch him play baseball as a teenager and later listen to all his fishing and coaching stories as an adult.

Once Lequeeta's granddaughters came along, everyone took a back seat. Elizabeth and Emily were her pride and joy. She watched them while they were babies and would rock and sing to them every chance she had. When they got a little older, her favorite thing to do was to pick them up and take them shopping and watching them play volleyball. She definitely loved them to the moon and back.

She was so proud of her family. Her desire was to always teach them to serve the Lord and live for Him.

Lequeeta was of the Assembly of God faith and was currently working in the ministry, alongside James, at Adult & Teen Challenge Mid-America. She was a lady of great faith and helped touch the lives of many people. She was known as "Sister" to many men up on the hill and they knew she would always be there to pray with them or offer Godly wisdom to them.

She is survived by her husband, James, of Cape Girardeau; son, Chris (Jennifer) Bolin of Dexter, Missouri; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Emily Bolin of Dexter; mother, Louise Welch of Mansfield, Missouri; brother, Stan (Sherry) Welch of Mansfield; mother-in-law, Joyce Bolin of Eminence; brother-in-law, Tim (Angie) Bolin of Eminence; two nieces; and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, the Rev. Lloyd Welch, and her father-in-law, Don Bolin.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Cape First in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Stan L. Welch officiating. Burial will be at Hunt-White Memorial Gardens in Doniphan, Missouri.

Memorial contributions may be given to Adult & Teen Challenge Mid-America.

Online condolences may be made at www.fordandsonsfuneralhome.com.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
