PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Ellinor B. Miederhoff, 91, of Perryville, died Monday, July 8, 2019, at Independence Care Center.

She was born Oct. 16, 1927, in Perry County to Leo A. and Christine Baer Winschel. Ellinor married Cletus W. Balsman on Nov. 18, 1944. He preceded her in death Feb. 8, 1971. On Oct. 20, 1973, Ellinor married Leo J. Miederhoff. He preceded her in death May 5, 2016.

Ellinor was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and many organizations, including Ladies of Charity, American Legion Post 133 Auxiliary, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary and St. Vincent's Choir for 40 years.

Survivors include her daughter, Betty Jean Adams of Naples, Florida; two sons, Larry (Faye) Balsman of Chesterfield, Missouri, and Jerry (Diana) Balsman of Jackson; son-in-law, Terry Huggins of Ballwin, Missouri; stepsons, Terry (Kaye) Miederhoff of Perryville and Timothy Miederhoff of Richmond, Indiana; and stepdaughter, Judy (Lou) Steinhauser of St. Louis; three sisters, Harriet Schnurbusch of St. Louis, Connie Cook of Skokie, Illinois, and Gladys Schnurbusch of St. Louis; brother, Eugene Winschel of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both husbands; parents; a daughter, Glenda Huggins; and three sisters, Delphine Geringer, Carol Winschel and Kathy Bates.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, with rosary at 8:30 a.m., at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Rich Wehrmeyer officiating. Burial will be at St. Maurus Catholic Cemetery in Biehle, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Schools.
