Mildred Wilhite

ROCKVIEW, Mo. -- Mildred Mattlene Wilhite, daughter of the late Robert T. and Cecile McDaniel Young, was born Jan. 23, 1927, in McGee, Missouri, and departed this life Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 92 years.

On April 5, 1947, she was united in marriage to Roy Lee Wilhite in Chaffee, Missouri. Roy preceded her in death May 3, 2007.

Mildred was a homemaker, a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a resident of Rockview.

Survivors include three sons, Steve (Betty) Wilhite of Morley, Missouri, Ronnie (Cheryl) Wilhite of Rockview and Bob (Rene) Wilhite of Chaffee; three daughters, Faye (John) Jones of Oran, Missouri, Berta (Dennis) Laubach of Benton, Missouri, and Shari (Rodney) Austin of Chaffee; sister, Wilma Hinkle of Greeneville, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Brother Jimmy Smiley officiating. Interment will follow in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
