Maria Kolusch

Maria E. Kolusch, 87, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, July 8, 2019, in the home of her daughter in Overland Park, Kansas. She was at peace and surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 16, 1931, in Badbergen, Germany, and lived in Cape Girardeau for almost 60 years. Her biggest passion was her seven grandchildren. Maria loved cooking, crocheting and spending time with her friends of St. Mark's Chapter 167, Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her son, Peter Kolusch; daughters, Patricia (Scott) Bohnert and Anita (Mike) Strong; seven grandchildren, Tyler Kolusch, Jeremy Bohnert, Courtney Bohnert, Allison Strong, Mikey Strong, Sarah Strong and Grant Strong.

Her loving husband, Gerhard Kolusch, preceded Maria in death.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to St. Mark's Chapter 167, Order of the Eastern Star, Cape Girardeau.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Cremation Society of Kansas and Missouri in Prairie Village, Kansas, is in charge of arrangements.
