Joan Phillips

Joan Darlene Phillips, 59, of Jackson passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 4, 1960, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Charles and Onetta Bollinger Wipfler. She and Donald Phillips were united in marriage Dec. 8, 1980.

Joan worked for Delmonico's Restaurant for several years and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Phillips of Jackson; sons, Charles and James Phillips of Jackson and Daniel Phillips of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Amy Phillips of Broughton, Illinois; brothers, Charles Wipfler of Scott City and Herman Wipfler of Stoneman, Illinois; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her son, Rocky Phillips; parents, Charles and Onetta Wipfler; and grandson, Cody Lynn Phillips.

A celebration of life will be from noon to 4 p.m. Friday at Cape County Cowboy Church.
