Ricky Lee "Rick" Haupt, 66, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019, at his home.

He was born Aug. 14, 1952, in Cape Girardeau to Roy and Pauline Reed Haupt. He was baptized at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. He and Lillian "Lynn" Gosche were married Feb. 14, 1996, in Cape Girardeau.

He was a graduate of Jackson High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University. He was employed 30 years as a tech operation manager for Charter Cable. He most recently operated R & L Satellite in Fruitland and drove for the Gibson Center in Cape Girardeau.

Rick was a member of the Mossback Fishing Club. His hobbies included riding his Harley, fishing, trail riding out West, boating on the river and four-wheeling.

Loving survivors include his wife, Lynn Haupt of Jackson; a daughter, Lea N. Kennedy of Cape Girardeau; two stepchildren, Travis (Hannah) Seib of Imperial, Missouri, and Tracie (Robert) Barclay of St. Charles, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Braiden Kennedy, Bridget, Nolan and Faith Seib, and Riley, Tyler and Liam Barclay; and a sister, Cindy Haupt of Millersville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to service time Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The Rev. Stan Hargis will officiate a memorial service at 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Rick will be privately laid to rest with his parents at Caney Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Oak Ridge.

The family suggests contributions be made to American Heart Association.
