PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Joseph Andrew Adams, 57, of Perryville passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born Aug. 26, 1961, in Cairo, Illinois, to Ernest and Marjorie Winn Adams. He married Elsa "Gerri" Harris on Feb. 28, 1980, in Cape Girardeau.
Joe was a 1980 graduate of Egyptian High School. He and Gerri resided in Thebes, Illinois, Trumann, Arkansas, Jackson and at Lake Perry in Perry County, Missouri, since 2001. He had worked for Walmart.
Loving survivors include his wife Gerri of 39 years; four daughters, Tania Adams-Eftink of Chaffee, Missouri, Jennifer Adams of Jackson, and Jodie Adams and Mackenzie Adams of Perryville; eight grandchildren and one due very soon, Hannah, J.J. and Emma Eftink, Christian Adams (and soon to be, Baby Blair ), and Makayla, Makiyah, Mason and C.J. Harris; his father, Ernest Adams; three siblings, Charles Kimmel of Cobden, Illinois, Linda Johnson of Olmsted, Illinois, and Karen Westbrooks of Cobden; and two half-sisters, Janet and Judy.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Adams; a brother, Wesley Kimmel; and a sister, Lisa Adams.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
