Opal M. Lincoln, 97, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, at Lutheran Home.

She was born Oct. 25, 1921, in Mayfield, Missouri, to John Willis and Laura M. Stevens Cook. She and Charles Clinton Lincoln were married June 10, 1939, at Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death in October 1994.

She worked at Ralph Edwards in inspection and production. She also worked in production at Dave's Electric. She was involved with the Republican Party as a committee person. She was in charge of the Christmas tree for the Optimist Club.

Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, being in the outdoors and bluegrass music.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Sue (Deon) Johnson of Lincoln, Nebraska; three sons, Fred C. (Paula) Lincoln of Eads, Tennessee, Jerry W. (Polly) Lincoln of Godfrey, Illinois, and Gregory A. Lincoln of Cape Girardeau; sister, Myrtle Davis Hoosier of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and brother, Milford Cook of Granite City, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, three brothers, four sisters, a grandchild and a great-grandson.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell Faire officiating. Burial will be at Plainview Cemetery in Marble Hill, Missouri.
