Theresa Schreckenberg

HILLSBORO, Mo. — Theresa C. Brockmeyer Schreckenberg, 78, of Hillsboro passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2019.

She was born May 23, 1941, in Cape Girardeau.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, where she volunteered regularly. Theresa was a long-time employee of Hillsboro Title and worked in the construction dispersing department. She was a loving grandmother and enjoyed travel, cooking and sewing.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph P. Schreckenberg of Hillsboro; a daughter, Cynthia (Kevin) Culbertson of Lebanon, Indiana; three sons, Gary (Laura) Schreckenberg of Hillsboro, Daniel (Angela) Schreckenberg of St. Louis and Gregory Schreckenberg of St. Louis; grandchildren, Kieran, Laci, Grayson, Caleb, Benjamin, Rylie, Emily and Alexandria; six sisters, Bert (Paul) Essner of Benton, Missouri, Frieda Seyer of Cape Girardeau, Julie (Don) James of Cape Girardeau, Dot (Paul) Summers of Cape Girardeau, Fran (Joe) Willenbring of Jackson and Millie (Charlie) Seyer of Jackson; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Brockmeyer of Hawk Point, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Eeftink Brockmeyer; a brother, Al Brockmeyer; a sister, Sister Rose Francis Brockmeyer; and a brother-in-law, Joe Seyer.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home Inc., 103 Fourth St. in Hillsboro.

The funeral will begin with prayers at approximately 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. We will the process to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 703 Third St. in Hillsboro for Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery. Food and fellowship will follow the interment at Knights of Columbus No. 6401 in Hillsboro.
