Ruth Steinhoff

Ruth Mae Steinhoff, 87, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019, at NHC Health Care in St. Charles.

She was born May 22, 1932, in Cape Girardeau to Martin and Alma Macke Fluegge. Ruth married Melvin C. Steinhoff and he preceded her in death Jan. 18, 1977.

Loving survivors include five children, Stephen C. Steinhoff, Stanley M. Steinhoff, Sandra (Paul) Kisker, Catherine Dukleth and Christy (Tod) Stewart; dear grandmother of nine, Jonathon (Samantha) Shankle and Stephanie (Sam) Carrow, Laszlo' and Achilles Steinhoff, Bradley, Benjamin and Blake Stewart and Ashley and Kyle Kisker; beloved great-grandmother of three, Max and Mason Shankle and Elliott Carrow; three sisters, Esther Davis, Rosemund Welker and Janice Newell; and many other loving family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral will be at noon Monday, with the Rev. Jason Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
