Ecel Mae Ragsdale Keller, 88, of Scott City passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020 at her home. She was born Aug. 29, 1931, in Essex, Missouri, the daughter of Charles "Roscoe" and Lily Mae Richardson Jones. She married James Edward Ragsdale on Sept. 18, 1949, in St. Louis, and he preceded her in death Aug. 24, 1983. She then married Darl Keller on March 20, 1994, and he preceded her in death Dec. 17, 1994...

Ecel Mae Ragsdale Keller, 88, of Scott City passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020 at her home.

She was born Aug. 29, 1931, in Essex, Missouri, the daughter of Charles "Roscoe" and Lily Mae Richardson Jones. She married James Edward Ragsdale on Sept. 18, 1949, in St. Louis, and he preceded her in death Aug. 24, 1983. She then married Darl Keller on March 20, 1994, and he preceded her in death Dec. 17, 1994.

Ecel was a longtime Sunday school teacher and last taught Sunday school at First Assembly of God Church in Scott City. She worked numerous jobs during her life.

She is survived by a son, James E. Ragsdale Jr. of Evanston, Wyoming; and daughters, Agnes Ragsdale and Margaret Ebey, both of Scott City, and Eleanor Jinkerson of New Orleans. She is also survived by a sister, Pauline Goodale of Scott City; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by a daughter, Alice Ragsdale; six brothers; and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Essex Cemetery in Essex.
