SIKESTON, Mo. -- Heather Renay Mayabb McCurter, 39, passed away Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at her home in Sikeston.

Born April 10, 1980, in Sikeston, to Harry Mayabb of East Prairie, Missouri, and Brenda Laster Baker of Bertrand, Missouri, she grew up in Charleston, Missouri, and later enjoyed being a member of a dart league.

Besides her parents, survivors include her stepfather, Hubert Baker of Bertrand; three sons, Hunter Ray McCurter of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Tyler Cole McCurter of East Prairie and Austyn Wayne McCurter of East Prairie; one daughter, Rhylyn Anna-Reece Cross of the home in Sikeston; and three sisters, Chasady (Jay) Stortz of Burfordville, Amanda (Chase) White of Sikeston and Madilynn (Tyler) Pigg of Sikeston.

Heather was preceded in death by one daughter, Grace-Lynn Mae Cross; one brother, Hugh Baker; and her grandparents, Harry and Imogene Mayabb, Curtis Laster and Yvonne Fisher.

Visitation was Sunday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

The funeral service was Sunday with Bro. Jon Archie, pastor of Elm Street Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Cory Mayabb, Jamie Mayabb, Joshua Stortz, Chase White, J. Stortz and Tyler Pigg. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Mayabb and Terry Mayabb.
