Edward Lee "Mr. Ed" Dodd Sr., 66, of Scott City died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 2, 1953, in Cape Girardeau to James Riley "J.R." and Bonnie Jean Finley Dodd. He married Marilyn Jo Mueller on March 8, 1971. She preceded him in death Dec. 19, 2018.

He was the owner/operator of Mr. Ed's Trading Post in Cape Girardeau.

He enjoyed bargaining, motorcycle riding, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, collecting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sons, Lee (Christina) Dodd of Benton, Missouri, and Casey (Heather) Dodd of Jackson; daughter, Christy (Shawn) Griffin of Southaven, Mississippi; sister, Lucita (David) McNeely of Scott City; grandchildren, Chad, Ashley, Haley, Ry, Alexis, Skyler, Zach, Hayden, Khloe and Kolton; and great-grandchildren, Drake and Tatum.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Robert Smithey and David McNeely officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery in McClure, Illinois.
