Verna Mae "Sissie" Riney Renicke, 91, of Oak Ridge, formerly of Jackson passed away Thursday, March 05, 2020 at her home.
She was born Feb. 24, 1929, in Lithium, Missouri, daughter of Murphy and Marie Thompson Riney. She married Harry L. Renicke on July 9, 1963, in Warrington, Florida. He passed away April 23, 1993.
Verna was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville.
Loving survivors include sons, James H. Renicke and Joseph A. Renicke of Jefferson City, Missouri; niece, Linda Penzel, who gave her loving care for her last years of life; sister-in-law, Mrs. Marvin (Faye) Riney of Perryville, Missouri; and many loving nieces and nephews, whom she treasured.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; parents; brothers, Melvin J. (Dolores) Riney, Kenneth (Leona) Riney, Marvin "Cracker" Riney; granddaughter, Wendy Warren; and a special nephew, Carl Gene Penzel.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Jacob May officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville.
