MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Gliden "Ray" McGee, 73, of Piedmont, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at Advance Nursing Center in Advance, Mo.

He was born March 24, 1927, in Cheatham County, Tenn., son of James and Ruby Bain McGee.

McGee was a track foreman with Missouri Pacific Railroad.

Survivors include three sons, Jim McGee of Fulton, Mo., David McGee of Red Bay, Ala., Larry McGee of Piedmont; four daughters, Barbara Trankle and Billie "BJ" Grindstaff of Marble Hill, Bonnie Bland of Virginia Beach, Va., Bobbie Sims of Friendswood, Texas; a sister, Eunice of Tishomingo, Miss.; 23 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers, and three sisters.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 3-7 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Poole officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Patterson and Strickland Cemetery in Red Bay.
