CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Wesley D. Medlin, 60, of Carbondale, formerly of Dongola, Ill., died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at his home.

He was born Aug. 17, 1940, in Wadsworth, Ill., son of Darwin and Verna Coffman Medlin. He married the former Agnes J. Edward.

Medlin retired from Southern Illinois University where he was an electrician 28 years.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Yvonne Ellet of Sand Ridge, Ill., Paula Beanland of Dongola; a brother, Ron Medlin of Dongola; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and a brother.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 6-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Poole officiating. Burial will be in Christian Chapel Cemetery at Dongola.
