Lemen H. Hahs, 80, of Jackson, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at his daughter's home in Perryville, Mo. Friends may call between 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Lemen H. Hahs, 80, of Jackson, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at his daughter's home in Perryville, Mo.

Friends may call between 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, with a Missouri Honor Guard Service. The Rev. Grant Gillard will officiate.

Mr. Hahs was born Sept. 22, 1920, in Millersville, Mo., son of the late H.C. and Zettie Bollinger Hahs. He and Virginia L. Schreiner were married June 23, 1946. She passed away Sept. 3, 1991.

Loving survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Robert Hull of Jackson and Betty and D. Michael Laws of Perryville; four grandchildren, R. Christopher Hull and wife, Veronica, of St. Louis, Heather Hull of St. Louis, and Chloe Jane Laws and Alexander Michael Laws, both of Perryville; one brother, Jack Hahs; and two sisters, Stella McKee of Cape Girardeau and Fern Mayfield.

One brother and one sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Hahs was a graduate of Lutesville High School and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving from Nov. 30, 1942, until Feb. 14, 1946. He worked at the former International Shoe Factory in Cape Girardeau, the former Koch Plastic Manufacturing in Jackson, and, in 1985, retired from Lenco Co. in Jackson.

He was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jackson and a member of the Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158 in Jackson.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice Care of Park Hills or First Presbyterian Church of Jackson.
