SIKESTON, Mo. -- Lillie Macel Howell, 91, of Sikeston died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born July 28, 1909, in Springerton, Ill., daughter of James and Mary Hooker Rister. She and Roy W. Howell married on March 16, 1927, in Jackson, Mo. He died June 17, 1964...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Lillie Macel Howell, 91, of Sikeston died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born July 28, 1909, in Springerton, Ill., daughter of James and Mary Hooker Rister. She and Roy W. Howell married on March 16, 1927, in Jackson, Mo. He died June 17, 1964.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston.

Survivors include three sons, Connie Howell, Bill Howell and Jim Howell, all of Sikeston; a daughter, Mary Merideth of Sikeston; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-stepgrandchildren and three great-great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel. The Rev. Jim Davis will officiate, with burial in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Morley, Mo.
