EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Irene Dudley, 87, of Chattanooga, Tenn., formerly of East Prairie, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at Earlanger North Hospital in Chattanooga. She was born Nov. 21, 1913, at East Prairie, daughter of James Thomas and Auda Pearl Galloway Bright. She and Elbert Lee Dudley were married June 2, 1934, at Charleston, Mo. He died Jan. 3, 1973...

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Irene Dudley, 87, of Chattanooga, Tenn., formerly of East Prairie, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at Earlanger North Hospital in Chattanooga.

She was born Nov. 21, 1913, at East Prairie, daughter of James Thomas and Auda Pearl Galloway Bright. She and Elbert Lee Dudley were married June 2, 1934, at Charleston, Mo. He died Jan. 3, 1973.

Dudley had lived in East Prairie most of her life, where she was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Charla K. Dudley of Chattanooga; three sons, Glen M. Dudley of Jonesboro, Ark., Melvin R. Dudley of Chattanooga, and Terry W. Dudley of San Bernardino, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie from 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Dogwood Cemetery. The Rev. Melvin Dudley will officiate.
