CLINTON HAHS

SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Clinton Earl Hahs, 92, of Sedgewickville died Thursday, March 22, 2001, at his home.

He was born Nov. 7, 1908, at Daisy, Mo., son of Peter and Cora Caroline Linebarger Hahs. He and Ines P. Stearns were married May 11, 1929, in Marble Hill, Mo.

Hahs was a 1927 graduate of Jackson High School. He worked at Wagner Electric in St. Louis, owned and operated Hahs and Sons Grocery in Sedgewickville, and was an agent for American Family Life Insurance Co.

He served as town clerk of Sedgewickville many years. He was a member of Sedgewickville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Donald Hahs of Jackson, Mo., Kenneth Hahs of Sedgewickville; a brother, Cletus Hahs of Daisy; a sister, Mabel Friese of Jackson; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo., from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Albert Nyland will officiate. Burial will be in Sedgewickville Cemetery.
