EDITH SANDERS

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Edith R. Sanders, 87, of Chaffee died Thursday, March 29, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 24, 1913, at Malden, Mo., daughter of Harry and Ida Anthony Kneibert.

She was retired from an insurance company and had worked as a clerk at the Chaffee IGA store. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church at Chaffee. She was also a member of the Daughters of St. Ambrose and the Legion of Mary.

She and William Sanders were married Aug. 17, 1933, at Jackson, He died March 21, 1964.

Survivors include two sons, William H. Sanders of Columbus, Ind., and Robert W. Sanders of Chaffee; two half sisters, Hester Law of Malden and Mary Catherine McGrath of Gainesville, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a half brother, a stepbrother and a half sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel after 6 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church at Chaffee, with the Rev. Ralph Ouffner officiating. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery.
